My newborn sessions are relaxed and baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles. Sessions are available in my Torquay studio or in your own home, and parents and siblings are always encouraged to be part of the photos.

My studio newborn sessions take place in my natural-light home studio in Torquay. Your baby is photographed simply and naturally, capturing their tiny details as well as the connection between your growing family.
All members of the family are welcome to join in, with plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles.
Most families book during pregnancy to secure availability around their due date.
LIFESTYLE Newborns
Newborn lifestyle sessions take place in your family home, capturing you exactly as you are in your own environment. No tizz, no fuss. It's completely fine if life feels a little messy and chaotic with siblings around — that's real family life.
Your house definitely doesn't need to look like it belongs in a magazine — it just needs some good natural light. I'll give you a little direction when needed, but mostly I'll let you do your own thing, capturing the cuddles, siblings meeting their new baby, feeding, settling and simply being together.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are available in Torquay, Geelong, across the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula.
STUDIO LIFESTYLE Newborns
Love the relaxed look of a lifestyle newborn session, but don't want to worry about getting your house photo-ready? A Studio Lifestyle session gives you the best of both worlds.
These sessions take place in my natural-light Torquay studio, using a beautifully styled bed to create that relaxed, at-home feel. You can cuddle up, snuggle your baby, let toddlers climb all over you and simply be together — without having to worry about getting your house ready for photos.
Your baby doesn't necessarily need to be photographed in those very early newborn days either. We can photograph them while they're still tiny and sleepy, or wait until they're a little more awake, alert and starting to make eye contact.
Studio Lifestyle newborn sessions are available in my Torquay studio for families across Geelong, the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula.

Looking for maternity photography first?

Ideally your newborn session is booked while you’re still pregnant. I book you in according to your due date and when baby arrives, we schedule your session in for a date and time that works for both of us.

Newborn sessions are best done when baby is around 1-2 weeks of age. While they definitely can be done later than this, babies tend to be more awake and alert and are a little less curly

Not all babies are sleepy for their session and that is completely ok. I have been working with newborns for over 10 years and have lots of tips and tricks up my sleeve to help your babe be calm, content and settled. We take sessions at your babies pace, if they need a feed, they feed. If they need a cuddle, then they are held. All newborn sessions are baby led.

ABSOLUTELY! All newborn sessions (except for Mini Newborn Sessions) include the immediate family — parents and siblings are an important part of the session. I love capturing the connection between everyone, not just your new baby.
As your little one grows, you can also come back for a relaxedfamily photography session in Geelong, Torquay or the Surf Coast.

I have wraps of all colours, patterns and textures on hand in the studio and available for use. Personally, I don’t use props, but everything else you need for babe will be supplied.

When you book with Three Wishes Photography I provide detailed information about how to prepare and what to expect from your newborn session. Included in that are suggestions around what to wear and what to dress the kids in.
I have a client wardrobe for mum to access with beautiful flowy dresses that photograph beautifully and fit a bump.

Generally newborn sessions last around 1.5-2hrs. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It really depends how often baby needs to feed and how many cuddles they need.

Newborn safety is my number one priority. I work in a baby led way, learning how baby naturally likes to position itself and I don’t use positions or poses that are dangerous or uncomfortable to babe.
